Born from the Same Mold, Part 2

Here are pairs of pictures at the same age, Milan first and Kirin second (follow up to this post).  It is crazy how similar they look!  While we can tell them apart, I am guessing they are indistinguishable to more casual observers.

"Vacationing" in Oregon

We went on a vacation with several friends to Sunriver in Oregon earlier in August.

There was a lot of lounging at the pool,

biking around the resort, some skateboarding,

and hiking to a waterfall,

but Kirin's favorite activity of all was climbing the dishwasher.

Family photos at the waterfall, outside a lava cave and near a lava butte

We left the day before Kirin's birthday and celebrated with some cake!
Kirin went for it immediately and gobbled up his piece.

Here's the whole group at the top of the lava butte (6 adults, 7 kids!)

This was most certainly a trip and not a real vacation given our 5 am wake up call every morning from Kirin in the pack n play, but the good company, beautiful surroundings and delicious food made up for it!

Kirin at 1 Year

Kirin turned 1 year old!  We can hardly believe it.

We're starting to see little sparks of Kirin's personality through his thoughtful expressions, his ongoing blabber, and his cuddly snuggles.  I'm sure he'll start to diverge at some point, but so far he takes after his brother's joy of cleaning, and love for anything vehicle related.

To commemorate the occasion, we did a little photo shoot at home.

Happy birthday, Kirin!  Can't wait to see you grow and develop in the years ahead.

Milan's East Coast Adventure

Milan spent 6 days without mom and dad with his cousins and grandparents on the East Coast while mom attended a wedding and conference

Here he is with his cousin Keshav

First time roller skating!

Riding a trolley at the trolley museum

Making his annual pilgrimage on the Metro

Milan had a great time bonding with his family and can't wait to do it again!
