Milan's Summer Adventures

Milan had a great summer full of travel and friends

He first met his cousin Keshav in DC



Here he is wondering how Keshav can be half his age but the same size as him

He then met his cousin Sahana from LA in San Luis Obispo

Milan enjoyed his very first hike!

 

He and Sahana also had fun in the sun playing with the sand

The last stop on the summer circuit was supposed to be Pinecrest, CA for a wedding;
however, due to the Rim Fires in the area, the wedding was moved close to home in Woodside

He and his friend Kavya were in charge of decorations

 

Milan enjoyed meeting all of his playmates and hopes to see them again soon!

Milan got dressed in his new jeans and sneakers and headed to the Bay Bridge this weekend.

He enjoyed pushing his stroller around,


feeling the cool wind in his hair and practicing his thousand mile stare,
 

running through the bike racks,


and playing in the playground!

Milan got his 12-month shots on Friday and a haircut on Saturday.

Celebrating the Big "1"

We celebrated Milan's 1st birthday with many of our friends and family at our home with made-to-order dosas and mango lassi









Milan first experience with cake involved more sculpting and flinging than eating



 

   

Milan then celebrated with his friends at daycare 

 

 

The muffin suffered the same fate as the chocolate cake

Milan at 1 Year

A year ago today, we were staring at a tiny 6-pound creature who had just made his way into the world. 

That tiny helpless bundle has now transformed into an impressively capable little man.  From the moment he became mobile, he has not been satisfied by staying in one place, earning nicknames like “Speedy Gonzales.”  He now motors around with a purpose, organizing items in a methodical fashion, bringing us his shoes to signal that he wants to go outside, or taking us to his high chair when he’s ready for a meal.  He says “uh-oh” when something falls to the ground and growls when asked what tigers say.

 

We look forward to all the marvelous moments the next year will bring with our main man Milan!
