Kirin at 16 Months

Kirin is 16 months old

We had an eventful month! First, we moved into a new house.

The Goda handymen crew is ready for the job
Kirin was very excited about putting up the Christmas tree

A few days later, we traveled to Dallas for a wedding whirlwind

Finally, Kirin graduated from the infant room to the toddler room, complete with pomp and circumstance

We capped off the month with a bounce house extravaganza

Happy holidays!

Kirin at 15 Months

Kirin is 15 months old!  And much more willing to pose than his brother was at this age.

We visited Milan's namesake restaurant this month

We recycled both costumes for Halloween this year, but Milan still insists that he will be a train conductor when he grows up, and on Halloween, Kirin still answered, "what does [any animal] say?" with a growl so it was fitting.

Both kids ended up with the same shirt, same cubes on their wrists, and the same toys because they both were copying each other

Spending a nice Sunday morning in San Francisco

Both boys have been enjoying playing with boxes as we prep for our upcoming move to a new house!

Kirin at 14 Months

After a slow but sure transition to walking, we now have a certified toddler

Kirin at 13 Months

Lucky thirteen (months)

Joint doctor's visit (and 7 shots between the two of them)

Apparently we don't learn and get haircuts right after vaccinations
(no "during" pictures this time, but trust me, there were lots of tears)

Maybe a little more practice before starting with the Prius?

Meanwhile, this kid suddenly looks like he's about to leave home for college

Tooling around campus the day before classes start

When Kirin sees someone he recognizes, he gives them a friendly greeting

Kirin has been taking steps for over a month now, but is slowly transitioning to walking more and more

Celebrating the Big "1"

Kirin's birthday celebrations started in Oregon, but continued back at home with some treats at daycare.
Unfortunately, when everyone sang happy birthday, it was a bit overwhelming for Kirin, who burst into tears.

Luckily, the tears didn't reappear the next day when we celebrated with friends and family at our home.
