Speaking Milan-ese

One of Milan's favorite bedtime books is The Goodnight Train, by June Sobel.
He shocked us one day by breaking out a few stanzas from the book:

We recognize that not everyone will understand Milan's special dialect ("Milan-ese"), so here is a translation:

All aboard!  The sun is down.
The Goodnight Train is leaving town.

Find your sleepers!  Grab your teddy.
Climb right up!  Your bed is ready!

Milan at 23 Months

If you encounter Milan for the first time, you will probably get a look like his school photographer got

 Milan's favorite day of the week is trash day, where he gets to walk on our street straightening all the trash bins that the garbage trucks have left askew (much to our chagrin)

More Matrimonial Madness

Milan attended yet another wedding this spring, this time in Dana Point, CA

Milan at 22 Months and Happy Mother's Day!

Most of Milan's development is verbal these days so we thought we'd celebrate 22 months with some video clips.

His favorite phrases these days are things like, "Tow trucks pick up broken cars," "Garbage trucks pick up Milan's dirty diapers," and "Forklifts pick up bricks." We're noticing a theme.

Milan also made some gifts for Mom at daycare but was crying on the way home because Dad wouldn't let him eat the Hershey's kisses before presenting the gifts to Mom :)

Milan in the Great Outdoors

Milan took a road trip to Yosemite last weekend!

 Milan's been working out and he wants everyone to know it

Milan Attends a Wedding

Milan flew to Houston this weekend to attend Rachana masi's wedding!

He first attended the garba and did many rounds around the room

 

Next he dressed up for the ceremony

He only made it through the groom's procession before nap time but had a good view with his cousin Anshul

The last event was the reception 

During the cocktail hour, Milan wanted to take over an elevator by pushing the buttons repeatedly and was a bit upset to be pulled away

His newest dance moves include throwing confetti in the air repeatedly and racing around the dance floor

Finally, it was time to head back home

 Even though he was exhausted, he insisted on carrying his new suitcase all the way to the parking lot

I barely recognize the Milan of 2 months or even 12 months!
